Terms
The practical terms for using this website and understanding when a project relationship begins.
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 9, 2026
Using this website
These terms govern your use of the Contora Studio website. By accessing the site, you agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with its operation, security, or availability for other visitors.
The website presents general information about the studio and its services. It is not a binding offer, professional legal advice, or a guarantee that a particular project will be accepted.
Enquiries and proposals
Submitting a project brief starts a conversation; it does not create a client relationship. A project begins only when both parties approve a written proposal or agreement describing the scope, responsibilities, schedule, fees, and payment terms.
Timelines, availability, estimates, and examples discussed before that agreement are indicative and may change as the project becomes clearer.
Your materials
You are responsible for ensuring that information, files, brand assets, copy, images, and other materials you provide are accurate and that you have permission to use them. Please do not send confidential material until appropriate terms are in place.
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, you retain ownership of your pre-existing materials and grant the studio the limited permission needed to evaluate an enquiry or deliver the agreed work.
Studio work and intellectual property
The site, its design, writing, illustrations, components, and other studio materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to the site, but you may not copy, resell, publish, or create derivative commercial materials from its content without permission.
Ownership and usage rights for client deliverables are defined in the relevant project agreement. Working files, methods, tools, rejected concepts, and pre-existing studio systems remain with their original owner unless expressly transferred.
Fees, changes, and cancellation
Project fees, invoices, taxes, expenses, change requests, pauses, and cancellation terms are set out in the signed proposal or agreement. Work outside the agreed scope may require an updated schedule and additional fee.
If a project is paused or cancelled, payment remains due for work completed and commitments already made, subject to the specific terms agreed for that engagement.
Third-party services
The website and studio work may depend on third-party platforms, fonts, hosting, software, integrations, or links. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and their availability or behaviour is outside the studio’s control.
Any recommendation of a third-party service is based on the project context at the time and is not a guarantee of its future performance, pricing, or suitability.
Disclaimers and liability
The website is provided on an as-available basis. We aim to keep its information accurate and the experience reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every detail will remain current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contora Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Project-specific warranties and liability limits are governed by the relevant signed agreement.
Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms as the website or studio changes. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from the effective date shown above.
These terms are interpreted under the laws applicable to the studio’s operating entity, without overriding mandatory consumer rights that may apply in your location. Questions can be sent to hello@contora.studio.
